The National Highway Safety Administration announced Tuesday morning that General Motors Co. will recall up to 1.37 million vehicles, due to the potential overheating of a washer fluid heater module, which could cause fires.

The recall is being issued for certain GM models from 2006 to 2009, including Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer and Saturn.

GM had another recall in 2008 stemming from a fuse-based electrical short issue.

However, GM has received additional "thermal incident" reports after the company added a fuse to the control circuit harness of vehicles to remedy that issue.

No injuries have been related to the recall.
