Hear from 1905 is Arthur Pryor and his Band playing a Ragtime Two Step called "Razzazza Mazzazza" composed by Pryor. The Record is a 10" Victor black & gold label Grand Prize, and the Talking Machine is a Front Mount Victor Type E from late 1902. The Victor Type E was also called the Monarch Jr.. This particular Monarch Jr. has a metal Gibson Traveling arm as opposed to the more common wooden arms that are seen on most front mount Victor Talking machines from this early era.
Where do you get these machines and records from?

@dumphuq The records over the years have come from a variety of places. Flea Markets, yard sales. auctions, or just people who knew I collected them, just leaving them on my front porch, rather then throwing them away. The machines were collected over the years from people who were selling them privately and knew I collected them, or from fellow collectors, or from local auctions.

Thanks, no in fact most of the early front Mount Victor and Eldridge Johnson Talking Machines had wooden arms. The patented sheet metal arm on this one is called a Gibson Traveling arm, and was an optional accessory on these machines. It is lighter and thus less waring on the Record. I had never seen this type of arm when I acquired the machine a few weeks ago and the most difficult task was finding the missing swivel pin which I obtained form a Collector in Wisconsin. No parts dealer had one.
