HIV is transmitted via blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk & other body fluids that contain HIV infected blood and even then those fluids must come in contact with a mucous membrane or damaged tissue or be directly injected into the blood-stream (from a needle or syringe) for transmission to possibly occur. David (nor anyone for that matter) can't contract HIV by touching Valerie's tears.

horrible thing to say i know with such a difficult issue but David should not be wiping the tears from her - if there was `a chance of hiv. Just a thought....maybe i'm wrong here
