@fritzo62 Nuts...stoned but genius.

@iersdutch perhaps because the music then WAS better than todays! Witness the quick arrival and departure of modern bands (most are around for 3 years at most), note the low amounts of Cd's/Downloads sold, the proliferation of "heritage" bands in most UK festivals, the lack of any classic ground breaking albums in recent times.Can you name any great bands in the past decade? - me neither!

Used to get the bus into town to watch this video, there was an amusement arcade with a video jukebox ( pre mtv ). Those were the days, felt like music just meant more.

@creamstripe That is really interesting I never knew the background behind the Cocteau name. It makes perfect sense given her very original singing style. Just a couple other things , the book was translated to English and titled 'The Holy Terrors' The original story was written by Jean Cocteau and one of the twins' names in the story was Elisabeth .
Cocteau Twins comes from the story called Les Enfantes Terribles about the twins who had their own form of languange that no one understood but them.
So not to say that their lyrics are unimportant, but rather not what you might or expect conventionally.
Elizabeth uses words to create mood and collage more than to get across a concrete idea.
