Cineuropa met with Italian-Swedish director Erik Gandini, whose feature Videocracy was screened within the Venice Days during the 2009 International Film Festival of Venice .
The documentary looks at the rise of Berlisconis media empire and the fall of television in Italy. As the director explains, the idea of the film came up from his considerations of Italy as an example of television and power melting together.
