Clip from the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2000 production of Moss Hart and George Kaufman's play "The Man Who Came To Dinner", starring Nathan Lane as critic and social celebrity Sheridan Whiteside. The production was broadcasted on PBS.

I don't own any of the clips!

  • Harriet Samson Harris - aka Bebe Glazer of FRASIER and Mrs. Jankis of MEMENTO - is the actors' goddess...

  • Monty Wooley was just a little too sophisticated for me.

The way Nathan plays Sherry he feels a lot more complex, and more funny. He makes me realize, Sherry isn't really as suave as he thinks he is. Underneath all that wit and sophistication he really is a bruiser, and not that far from the obnoxious guy in a bar.

  • @LinkinRocker2008 My high school is doing this play too. we open tomarrow

  • my school is doing this play and i play mrs. McCoutchon

  • What happened to the other episodes? I can only find two of this productiion. They used to all be on here.

  • As good as Nathan Lane is in the role, Harriet Harris keeps up with him at every turn. What a great pairing.

  • Anyone who thinks that Nathan Lane is either overacting, or is worse at this part than Monty Wooley has never read anything by or about Alexander Woollcott. I was ready to hate this, but I have to say that Mr. Lane is positively brilliant!

  • @DrQuest44 Nathan did a great job. Just as Kitty Carlisle said, he was born to play Sheridan.

  • Good job by Nathan Lane, but it's hard to beat the acting of Monty Woolley.....
