This tutorial is part of Judith Sept's tightly focused, no nonsense, Make Money Online Right Now step-by-step guide, and is available in full resolution at: http://www.howtomakeyourmoneyonline.com

Now we've already downloaded our Free Website Template from HowToMakeYourMoneyOnline.com, placed it on the desktop, and renamed the folder to reflect our domain name.

We have Dreamweaver pointing to the files for our website, and what we are going to do is we're going to double-click here on Insert to shrink that area down and give us more room to view our files. If you still can't see your full file names, you can hover over the left edge of the right-hand area, and pull that to the left, and if need be, between Local Files and Size, hover there, you'll see your left-to-right cursor arrow appear, click and drag to the right to give you more room, and you'll be able to see your full file names.

The most important folder for the purposes of this tutorial in our Free Website Template is the Templates folder. If you don't see it expanded like this, hit the little + beside the word Templates, and you'll see this file listed: site-default.dwt.

The .dwt stands for DreamWeaver Template, and it is this file, if we double-click on it, that basically has the core structure of all the HTML pages on this website. Alright.

Now, if you need more working room in your editing area, you can go to the dark grey bar at the top of the right-hand side here, where there is a little double arrow, click on that double arrow, and that area will shrink down, giving you more room in your editing window. Alright.

Now at the top of our Dreamweaver template, we see "You Website or Company Name Goes Here". Select that heading, and type in your own personalized heading. There is also room for a slogan or an inspiring quotation; select that text, and put in your own custom text. O.K.

Now here is the power of a Dreamweaver template: if we say File, Save, it will prompt us, asking to: Update All Files Based On This Template. We'll click on Update, and we'll see that it examined 10 files, and updated those 10.

If you don't see this detailed log, simply check the little Show Log box.

Now we can hit close, and if we go back to our files area here, and scroll down to, say, our index file: index.html is the home page for your website; if we double-click on that, and hit the little double arrows here to shrink back down the files area, we'll see that our index file now has Home Solar and Wind Energy, and our customized subheading. Alright.

Close that to go back to the template, and what you need to remember, is that any changes to this particular page are going to be reflected throughout the entire site. Alright.

Even if you have 200 pages, instead of having to go back into each page by hand and make the same change to, for example, add an additional menu item, you just simply do it in this one area, and the changes cascade through the entire site.

Now, while personalizing your Free Website Template, you want to adjust your copyright; so here it says Web Site Content © 2009 by ... and then ... Your Name Goes Here. So, I am going to type in HomeSolarAndWindEnergy.com. O.K.

Again, I can say Ctrl-S for Save, and Update, close that, and we're done. That new copyright notice will be reflected throughout the site. Alright.

Now, there are a few critical areas that we want to take care of right away when personalizing your free website template. And those are specifically in the two PHP files: send-mail-contact.php and send-mail-subscribe.php.

These files, you double-click on them, and hit Code in the upper left-hand corner ... they don't have any visual content, they simply send mail to your email addresses, but the email addresses are going to be incorrect.

So you need to replace YourDomainName.com with your own domain name. Now if you left-click and drag to select the domain name portion of that line that you've now adjusted, and say Ctrl-C, alright, you can carefully go in and use Ctrl-V to paste over additional instances of YourDomainName.com. O.K.

So don't miss out on the www dots here; there is none here because that's part of an email address.
