Carbon E7 - Carbon Motors Corporation with BMW engine

The BMW Group has received a major order from the American law enforcement vehicle manufacturer, Carbon Motors Corp., to supply more than 240,000 diesel engines. Ian Robertson, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, responsible for Sales and Marketing, and William Santana Li, Chairman and CEO of Carbon Motors Corp. signed the contract at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C. The agreement calls for delivery of inline six-cylinder diesel engines complete with cooling and exhaust gas system and automatic transmission.

@bonds911 hmmm... apparently you havent checked the specs on the new ford police interceptor then eh?? yea, its not hard to be more fuel efficient than the old reliable p71's.... HOWEVER, the new interceptors from ford are all running twin-turbocharged v6's that'll get 35+mpg and still put down over 375hp... So yes, BMW does make a nice diesel engine, however, carbon still has the same problem that gm and chrysler have, unseating ford as the go-to manufacturer for police vehicles.
