A figure printing on MakerBot #169. Something went wrong with the Z-stage in the last 5cm or so, causing (I think) the plastruder to jam a little and stop extruding. I'll try again once that's sorted and the filament spindle kit is set up.
Total print time: 4 hours and change.

If I said I had the money to buy this type of printer, knowing what you know now, and other options of printers out there, going for less with much more precision, would you recommend it?

@Ryuuken24 For sure - the current hobbyist 3D printers have come a long way since I ordered my MakerBot Cupcake back in 2009.

What was the size of that figure? and how much material was used to make that? What was the cost of the used material. And a final question...what is the biggest size you can print? without cutting sections of course.

@Fovos The finished one from after the video is 148mm tall. I'm afraid I don't have a number for how much material was used, but the spools of ABS plastic are about USD$50/kg and you could print many of them with one spool.
On my MakerBot Cupcake I can print up to 185mm tall or so.
