We used to get local veterans of the second world war come into my primary school and talk to us, one of them was my great great uncle who introduced us to Glenn Miller. Wouldn't happen now, strangers in school are highly frowned upon.

My dad used to play a bunch of the oldies in the car when I was a little girl running errands with him and I owe him so much for that! Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, all the the good ones....

don't worry there's hope for the younger generations, lol, i'm 21 and i have to say this is one of my absolute favortie songs and Glenn Miller is my favortie artist of all time. did you guys know the concept of the gold record was created especially for Glenn? he is simply amazing. i'm trying ot get my boyfriend to take swing classes with me so we can go dancing, does anyone know of a good place to go in Northern California? (we go to school close to the bay area)
