The Last Ninja C64: soumersalting past the dragon

This is how I used to get past the dragon in The Wastelands in the Commodore 64 version of The Last Ninja. It requires some weird positioning- when you're correctly placed, pushing back on the joystick will not move the ninja backward- and very tight timing, but it is possible (and probably a bug.) It's much easier to use the smoke bomb on the dragon- but I didn't know that at the time! My first attempt was unsuccessful, then I succeeded after re-loading from a save state within the emulator.
