Moving no doubt about it, but another example of the masters work being appropriated by a cause counter to the artists inclinations? Bruce is outspokenly anti Iraq and Afghanistan and correct this if it's a wrong assumption, but I don't think he would think is appropriate to blindly 'honour the troops'? How about we honour the victims of 'collateral damage'? End the war instead of geting sentimental about soldiers being killed. Soldiers have always been killed, it's part of their job.

Bruce Springsteen has always been a friend of veterans. In August, 1981 he hosted a concert for Vietnam veterans, where he said, in his opening remarks, "Tonight were here for the men and the women that fought the Vietnam war. "

But you are correct, Springsteen (and I) opposed our wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
