Hi friends

This record came from the Eastlight Box Set which I found on ebay and contained 12 gems this is one of them.

Label: Parlopone
Artist: Artie Shaw
Year: 1937/40
Location/Feature: From the Film "Night and day" (Cole Porter) also singing: Mel Torme and his Mel-Tones

Played on the Faulty Marconiphone 4033 stereo record player now fully operational as you can see here.

The record has been cleaned using Swingman78 cleaning fluid. Thanks Mark.

This was from a great recording session released on 78s featuring Artie Shaw, Mel Torme and the Meltones. I think it goes back to about 1946. I picked up an LP version back in the 80s. I Don't know if it was ever done on CD?

Enjoy......

Richard

  • This arrangement was so far ahead of it's time. Truly wonderful, exciting jazz from a very deep and moody guy.
