@BETWyan Agree...good points all. She did a great job picking the material and then delivering an edginess to the lyrics that she never showed previously. This was my favoirite album of hers.

Before "Mad Love" was released, the rumor was that both Linda Ronstadt and Bob Seger were working on new wave albums. Seger's "Against the Wind" was standard Seger, but Ronstadt got edgy and tuneful with Elvis Costello songs and arrragements from Cramps guitarist Mark Goldenberg.
