From the 'To Bring You My Love' album. It's one of those live, but no studio audience sessions. Love the really caustic, dirty guitar tones in this version.

The video is sort of choppy. Not sure if it's fixable by an alternative method of encoding or not, but hey.. at least I finally got another PJ video up! (long overdue, I know. I'm a disappointment to everyone in real life too!)

  • This woman is ALL the sexy...

    Right about the filthy sleazy guitar too... fucking ace...

    Is it John Parish? Looks a bit like him & similar playing style...

  • yes, the guy on her left (or our right, from the camera perspective).

  • hey its the 120 minutes session, and the announcer's jeff buckley :) i used to have this on videotape as well but the vcr ended up eating it from such overplay!!! u see back then not much live pj to watch :))

  • which one? the guy yelling or the "calmer" voiced guy? {lol}

    They apparently had a bit of a letter-writing correspondence. For all I know, maybe it was just one time or something, but that tidbit came out around the time of her b-side release, "Memphis" (a song written about Buckley).

  • wasn't it rumored jeff + PJ went out in 1995?

  • I hadn't heard that. Not to say it couldn't be true as I'm not expert in all things Buckley. or Polly. My guess is that it's just a rumor and any persistence it may have is largely due to a desire of fans of either or both artists for it to be true.

    Now Jeff & Elizabeth Fraser (i.e., Cocteau Twins)? that one was definitely more than just a rumor.

  • Haha, yea that is Jeff Buckley screaming "BRING YOU MY LOVE!" That is awesome. Arguably one of the greatest moments ever, a connection between two of my heroes.

    Almost brings a tear to my eye to think that music used to be this good and even celebrated on a channel like MTV. I was only six years old when this aired and I still remember when MTV would play good music that broke from the corporate conventions of what was mainstream which is something that has taken over thanks to today's sheep.

  • i thought White Chalk was a bit tepid for several months, but it actually clicked for me the other day and now i can't stop listening.
