Doctors Without Borders/ Dr. Reid Oliver "How to Save a Life"

As we get closer to the final days of As the World Turns and the last of what we'll see of Dr. Reid Oliver we must look at the positive influence that his character has cast upon us. While being wonderfully portrayed by Eric Sheffer Stevens, we were given a character with a certain complexity that is rarely seen in a soap opera. No matter his bed side manner or his arrogance, he truly cares about his patients and would do everything he can to save their lives. His work means everything to him and cares a lot more than he lets on. As much as we would love to explore his character more we must say goodbye to him, along with a show that has been on the air for 54 years.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization working in more than 60 countries to assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe.
