Strange Object Spotted In Sky Over Manchester 25/01/2009

We spotted a strange light over Chorlton, Mancheter. Decided to set up a camera to watch the lights movements ect, to our surprise the object seemed to change colour continuasley, unusual movements, change of shape and then towards the end of the video 6 mins 32 secs into it the object suddenly disapeared and reapeared a number of times. Over the length of the video watch the objects movements from the centre of the screen to the bottom left. Not sure what this is but im very keen to find out!

We continued to map the object over three and a half hours, It was awsome to say the least.

Last night at 17:00-18:00 hours Emma and I noticed the police copter hovering; shortly afterwards we noticed it was hovering under this object. We went in to get a camera.

Emma took some pictures and made a video clip. Emma was shaking to much to get a steady picture so we decided to put it up on Emmas window ledge whilst we ate tea.

When we watched the clip back we was so exctited! Not only does thhe object move over the course of nine mins it also changes shape and colour.

If it was Sunday night, it may have been the lights from the Creamfield festival in Warrington. I noticed the lights on the clouds from my window.

If the lights in the sky were in the west and it was Sunday, then it probably was laserlighting or such from Creamfield.

This thing is still there. Too bad Manchester is cloudy 300 days of the year and it can't be easily seen.

From your perspective, how close to earth is/was this object? When there are no clouds, can you still view it?
