HONOLULU, HI June 26, 2009 OC16 premiered the
first of two two-hour specials "Aloha Kuwait '09" on Saturday, July 4, 2009. The exclusive concert special was filmed during a two-week tour in May 2009 to perform a series of concerts at U.S. Military Bases throughout the country of Kuwait. The "Aloha Kuwait `09" tour, made possible through detailed coordination with the United States Military, is a celebration of Asia Pacific Island Cultural Heritage Month, and to demonstrate OC16's continued support for our troops stationed abroad.

"Aloha Kuwait `09" features special footage from three concerts filmed during OC16's tour of Kuwait. It includes performances by Vaihi, B.E.T., Kaleo and appearances by Tony Silva of Da Braddahs and 2008 Miss Hawaii Nicole Fox. In addition to the entertainment, OC16 aired special pre-taped messages to the troops during the concerts from Senator Daniel Inouye, Governor Linda Lingle, Lieutenant Governor Duke Aiona, Mayor Mufi Hanneman, Major General Robert Lee and `shout outs' from members of the 29th Brigade's families here in Hawaii.
