I think the first half is supposed to be Ed singing to Al and their mother, and the second half is Alphonse replying. The video mostly shows Ed the first half and Al the second half. The lyrics allude to it.

this song reminds me of my sister, she was the favorite of both parents, our mother was abusive and all my feelings I physically forced on her, my envy, my pride, my sorrow, my rage, I took it out on her because everyone treated her as perfect, after my family spit in half, I realized I took away her rights of the freedom I so seeked, and she truly was innocent... now I live a life of regret for beating her up so much. she says she forgives me because no one is to blame, but... it is my fault...

lol isn't that obvious as he starts the first verse with "How can i repay you brother.." and the second with "Beautiful mother" and from the tile its pretty obvious too XD
