When you sleep you only dream for about 2 hours a night. For the rest of the night your consciousness and awareness ceases to exist.

Just like before you were born. just like after you die.

Your grasp and knowledge of reality explains your willingness to embrace religion, like I said in my first post.

If you are sedated for an operation people often wake up in recovery room and ask 'when are you going to start?' because they experienced NOTHING while they were sedated, no passing of time, no floating around in a void for 6 hours waiting for their brain cells to become active again: NOTHING.

when you die, it will be exactly the same: NOTHING.

There is no inconsistency with believing in dualism of body and mind, like when a man plays the piano when the keys are broken he cant use em, likewise when a man and his bodily parts and functions cant be used anymore.

@MrHobiecat Again statements after statement can you please stop, I've seen only 1 "argument" and that's the death of brain cells - lol i would respond to that by saying that the body is just the mechanism in which the soul uses it, that beats the problem of no life after bodily death. Do we have any good reasons to believe in a soul/ disembodied mind?

@CettoTheCesco BTW, did you even WATCH the video you are commenting on?! in the last half the speaker talks about how he was emotionally overwhelmed when the book started talking about 'the resurrection of debbie'.

He was emotionally overwhelmed by the idea of his dead wife coming back to life - NOT dealing with the fact that jesus never DID come back from the dead, but purely playing with someones emotions over the grief they feel over the lose of a loved one.

and even if we did need to be saved, even children know that killing an innocent person in NO WAY makes a guilty person innocent - a human sacrifice nailed to a stick isnt the answer to ANYTHING, neither is pretending to eat its flesh or drinking its blood...

CLEARLY when your brain cells are dead you will have no awarenesss of anything, no memory, and no character, therefore the idea that YOU will somehow continue to exist after your body has died has been proven to be not even wrong, its totally absurd!

the bible fails on every level: when you are dead you cease to exist, the earth was not created as the bible claims, it was not flooded as the bible...
