Depends where you are, where abouts in the country are you. I bet there are loads of people in your area that speak it but not with you. For some reason we always start conversation in English with people we don't know so two Welsh speakers end up speaking English with each other as they don't know each other speak Welsh. more Welsh speakers need to speak Welsh to strangers and then if they don't speak Welsh speak English with them. Even if they don't speak Welsh they will know Welsh is alive :D

I live in South wales. Welsh I find is a dying language around this area. Sadly. Whereabouts are you from? I find that the majority of Welsh spoken in Wales is West. But then again I am probably wrong and your right ;-)
