If you guys like this film, you should check out the directors other movies, a time for drunken horses and half moon by bah man ghobadi. He's amazing BFF. Hollywood directors with their million dollar budgets can't beat what he does. He writes his own scripts, films, directs, produces etc. He barely makes anything from them either.

Let me explain something. During saddam's reign, he tried to wipe out the Kurds through chemical bombings, raids on their villages etc. Again is raped by baathist soldiers (Arabs) who kill her parents. Her son is born as a result of her rape, and she is torn for her love for him and her resentment of him since he is also the son of those who raped her and murdered her parents.
