How do you get the plasticine so workable? It so hard even after kneading it!

I use Plasticine brand, it is usually quite soft especially after kneading it. If it is very old or stale it can be harder, and some colours are more difficult to work with.

Plasticine, or modelling clay, does not get hard. If you want to make something last like a box or jewelry I suggest you try a polymer clay like Fimo. These clay can be baked to harden. Good luck!

What a great video! It makes me have an ever greater appreciation of the all the clay books you have illustrated which I have collected.

I was only going to watch the first one and watch the other two in this series when I had more time, but just couldn't resist. I watched all three in a row. I learned so much! This is perfect for anyone who wants to try their hand at sculpting.

    Great Job Barbara!
