2010 Toyota Prius Bluetooth Audio test with a Blackberry Curve 8900, shot during the Prius Connection LA Event on March 1, 2009.

Once the phone was paired, I was able to play, pause, and choose next/previous songs. This version did not show the name of the song being played, and we're unsure if the production version would perform any differently. Both the Stereo Headphone and Audio/Video control profiles were used to accomplish this.

The screen at times did switch back to the setup screen vs. the audio screen at one point, but perhaps due to where we started the test. Audio performance was acceptable, but we were unable to compare to a CD or direct cable to see if it was identical or "worse". Day to day, I'd find this a usable means of listening to music.

Funny thing is, I purposely didn't unpair the phone in the end (left my mark, so to speak). Later on, I was walking around the event, and someone turned on the radio in the car. My phone suddenly started playing music in the holster at a distance. This was likely probably because the stereo headphone profile wasn't functional at 25 ft, but the A/V control profile was.
