One of the reasons I so ENJOY going to Philadelphia (aside from the food) is their PCC's.. running proud and very much loved on Gerard Avenue, they cling away.. The surrounding areas have seen a resurgence in business and residents on the count of these vehicles and the reliability (something the afore bus service simply could not provide). Many of the cities trolley lines provide feeder traffic to the subway (some rune literally onto subway tracks - underground), in ways buses simply can't.
I so agree.. If these things were around, in our cities today, getting around would be such a breeze.. hop on, hop off, steady pace, steady route, businesses along the way, and right through the snow... Like having a subway right at on your street.. Who would need a car??
The yellow PCC is from The Hague (Den Hague-pronouned "HOG") Holland, and green No. 1069 is originally from Belgium and most recently ran at the Hyatt Grand Cypress Golf Resort and hotel in Florida.

The PCC car is not a "train". It's a trolley car or street car.
