I found a lot of similarities of this monster with Nargacuga/ Tigrex from Monster Hunter Freedom 2/ Unite. But Barioth has some new attacks. I especially hate the "wall jump" move Barioth does. It knocked down half of my health bar.

Do you have any advice for severing the tail? I need 3 tails for my azure lance+, but through all my farming him i can't seem to get the tail off.

I'm currently harassing the Barioth to make it's armor set. Just so I can slap around the gigginox some more.

xD Another fun tip... NEVER flashbomb a Barioth. Don't know how many times people have done that online and somebody ended up getting raged all over for it.

@charcharmunr the gauge "may" (im not sure) go up faster while attacking in x form but reloading is much faster.
