Institutional and systemic racism along with racism in our criminal justice system, education, housing (gentrification), healthcare, name discrimination, voice discrimiation, etc. are all enemies of equality. So because those factors exist and are strong in America, realistically, we can't be compared to other people in America that don't have to face those issues on a daily basis like we do. To me, those are the real enemies to black people and you have so called leaders who afraid to attack it

We have so called leaders who don't deny the racism in America but yet they don't have the testicular fortitude to stand up and fight against it. If our black leaders want to do something for our community, then force the American government to stop bringing drugs to our community, fight and destroy racism in this country, demand equal funding for education in black neighborhoods, demand that our ancestors are recognized in American history and demand the media to stop villanizing black males!!

replying to @peachtable966--Just wanted to make it known AS A MEMBER OF THE MEDIA we are protected by freedom of speech. But we're also to be held accountable by the masses when we intentionally or unintentionally spread misinformation. Therefore, the media doesn't have full rights to "depict blacks" or any others in a negative light and not be taken to task when those depictions are inaccurate, unfair and hurtful in the longterm to both blacks and whites who internalize bad information.

@hustlaus you realize that the media have the right to depict blacks however they choose? You're calling for the limitation of their freedom of speech. You're better off creating your own Black news to counter-represent blacks, but you can't change the (racist) methods of the existing media. they're not a function of the gov't.

4:48 - If you want to say that individual choices aren't as important as the oppressive system around you, then that system has already beat you! It's ONLY by a series of individual choices that anyone ever gets anywhere - Rosa Parks CHOOSING to sit where the system told her not to, etc. If you choose to do the right thing and keep on a path going in the right direction, that will get you a LOT farther than just sitting back waiting for some OTHER SYSTEM to fix your problems for you!

Comment directed at Bryces comment in regards to counselors comment about girl should going to trade school. I ask those of all races,if someone told you that you couldn' t do something and you listen to them,then the fault lies with you and is an example of the breakdown in the home. Because,if my kid came home and said someone told them that,I would tell them not to listen to them. I would ask them how hungry are they for what they truly desire!!! That is not a color issue,that is life issue

@CrazyBrah21 and any others who speak so angrily i dont see how saying things like "you fucks from the south are ultra ignorant" is any different from the black/white racism our country is trying to overcome. we cant beat racism if everyone continues it. it needs to stop on all levels and types not just black/white, also north/south, east/west, and so on. saying stuff like that totally kills your credibility and now people wont listen to you, even if you have something legitimate to say.
