Mr. Mister and their #1 hits "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" played a major role in defining pop music in the late 80's. This recently discovered clip, taken from a live show in NY shortly after "Broken Wings" hit the #1 spot on the Billboard charts is raw and alive and shows a group of amazing musicians clearly at the top of their game.

This song has almost a gospel soul to it and sounds like it would almost fit on the Joshua Tree (if it had been scaled down to a more acoustic version). Love it. Pop perfection!

In complete contrast my friend I was sixteen when this was a hit and you are right it was an incredible time for music. You can hear the bass line which has an electric sound. Electro sounds were a blast back then... It is a great song, Big shout from the English Lake District :0

I am just 18 and from a totally diffrenent generation but sometimes I wish I could have lived a bit earlier just to experience this generation of music. Too bad that no one appericates this nowadays. ;/ The Song just give me goosebumps, its just so beauftiful. ^^
