  • Hey Dale, one of my favorites, i have a queston about the lead bin this song seems to be C#m pentotonic, first am i right and if so, why does that work in he key of E

  • i think of this song as being in the key of E - however the Relative Minor for the key of E is C#m - every Major key has a Relative Minor key, they basically share a lot of the same notes so sometimes when you are playing in a Major Key you can play out of the Relative Minor as well and it sounds great - that's what you are describing.

    your friend,

    dale

  • These videos are all so well done, great playing, great breakdowns, really get a lot of use and enjoyment out of these.

    Keep up the good work!

  • thanks for the kind post......greatly appreciated - all the best with your music!

  • Wow, you're one heck of a teacher! And your chops aren't bad either! ;-) Would be nice if you could superimpose chord voicings in tab at the bottom left. I can complain about ANYTHING, can't I? ;-) Seriously... you're an asset to Youtube. I've already learned a couple of songs off of you and thoroughly enjoy your style and playing. Keep on keeping on!!

  • really appreciate the kind post....means a lot! You have a great idea and one i really need to seriously look into - i wish you all the best with your music and know that i will help in any way - keep pickin,

    dale
