  • who is the performer? he looks way too skilled to be entering a tournament.

  • Thanks for the comments. Tang Wei Zhong is from Shang Hai China. He is 53 years old now but still loves to perform and compete. I will pass on your message. He is in Pasadena, CA now. He learned Xing Yi, Ba Gua and Chen Tai Ji from Huan Da Hai in Shang Hai. But he also does other arts which influence his style. He competes in China once a year or more. I am trying to get footage of those competitions. If I can, I will post them.

  • With the two years of training I understand that this is stamping as opposed to sound that is created when you lower/raise your dantain. As far as Master Sun doing this, I just meant that he's the only name that I heard of. I'm sure as one of the body methods all xing yist could do this at the time.

  • that's just stamping. as the person below says thunder sound has in part an aspect of neijia or internal work. Its more overt form is using the foot to jam the body's energy into the ground to create a rumbling thud from the ground, its not stamping like this guy. And they don't stamp like this is baji either its different again. HIs xing yi doesn't seem so good to me. As for sun lu tang being the only guy to do this, that's BS

  • Congratulations to the Teacher Tong, from Argentina, my Name is Hector Ojeda and I am A Disciple of the Teacher Chen Quan Zhong

  • "Thunder Shout", or ('Thunder Method') in reality is a natural capability of the Human being...just refined & cultivated by Xingyi/Neijia practice to a much higher level than normal.

If you have ever 'shouted' at a toddler about ready to stick something into a light socket, or about to run out into traffic to stop them from hurting themselves....you have experienced this in it's 'raw' form...

    Peace.

  • there is something called five body method, but orignaly it used to be six. the sixth method was the sound of thunder. i only heard of Master Sun Lu Tang creating sound of thunder, but this is the first time i seen anyone actually generate it. thank you very much for sharing this awesome clip!

  • i believe the sixth body method (other five body method being chicken bear eagle tiger dragon)was thunder and when Master Sun Lu Tang performed in one event, his stomp eachoed the whole gym like the thunder. ^^ i only heard stories of the xingyi thunder, but first time actually seeing it! it was great and thank you very much for sharing it with us!

  • Yes you can see the other arts' influence in his shen fa. Stomping to that extent isnt from Xing Yi. Maybe Baji or Shaolin or something similar is one of these 'other' arts. Cheers.
