Just a lil update to all my new comers to swift or just to trucking. I'm just keeping it real like it should be. If you need to get at me just send me s message and I will hit you back as soon as I can.
@WoWplayerHORDE at one point in time, Swift missed major expenses on every other trip so you need to save your receipts and ride their ass though a company that misses expenses on every other trip is not a company worth working for because they've violated that trust between company and worker. My expenses were different because I was delivering one way to Canada and being flow back. They missed hotel expenses. However I did claim my money back over 3 mos worth. FYI.
@obiola26 yep it took me over 2 years to figure that one out. Kept my CDL but explored other options outside the industry. Problem with the industry is that they don't respect time put in so if you let your experience lapse, you might not get credited and paid for time worked so be careful when moving about the workforce and go with companies with established lanes where you know exactly how much you'll be making.
Swift is only good for new drivers point blank period...they're too big of a company to be considerate of every driver...so the reality of it is is you will get fucked...so once you get your experience I strongly suggest you leave to a smaller co. because swift is not where the $ is unless you're an O/O on a good dedicated route, and the truck is completely paid for...other than that BULLSHIT!!!!!!
bull, you can not legally drive 4500 miles in a week for one, two swift is the worst company, they fuck you over as much as they can. i have been with them now for just over 7 months now. not seen a penny of layover, detention, personally paid scales, tolls or anything else. the only reason i'm still here is determination to get a year with one company. because i've been out of driving for a while. STAY AWAY FROM SWIFT.
Swift is the worst company, ive been driving for 9 years. I hve my own company with 6 trucks. This dude is retarded. Youll be lucky to make $500 a week with them . This guy is a company man, aint never seen a check so big, getting fucked all day long .

4500 miles is hard to believe to get as a solo driver legally!

I've worked for Swift 7 months. It's a good company to start with but recommend after 7 months leave go to Averitt Express or another big company.
