Christopher Halma was my son. He was born prematurely, which lead to complications that left him afflicted with cerebral palsy. He was completely dependent on other for everything. He couldn't walk or even sit upright unsupported. He couldn't feed himself and was unable to speak.
In spite of his many challenges, Christopher was a happy child. He had a smile that could light up a room. Among his most striking features were his large, blue, expressive eyes.
Christopher died on Feb. 26, 2005, at the tender age of fifteen, of complications from his condition. This PhotoShow commemorates his life, and expresses more poignantly than words ever could what he meant to me, and to the rest of his family, and how much we miss him.
