Square Enix new big MMO set for this year

On core forums I saw a post with an interview with Wada. He said Square Enix wants to release a new MMO that they have in the works and it may even release this year. They say they want 3 major MMO's

Where does this leave FFXIV? Wada has confirmed that the development team finally has a target for their game.

Apparently they assume this new MMO will provide them funding. As a FFXIV player I say screw this.

how is this going to affect FFXIV?

it's not like the team that currently works for XIV will stop working on it, that would kill the whole reason for SE to run 2-3 MMOs simultaneously.

The team is working hard on FFXIV, and if their mojo is still in flowing they can hopefully ride this horse home, i don't see a reason to be worried about FFXIV just because of SE wanting to develop another MMO.

if they are clever they will do an action MMO like they did with FEZ once, too many MMORPG allready >_<
