@ampix0 You program in C like. C# and Java are focus on virtual machines. I recommend that you buy a Duemilanove Arduino, a breadboard and some LEDs and resistors, and see some tutorials on web.

I would love a whole arduino school :P I know nothing about it. Can I program with a language liek C# or java on one? (I know the java part was stupid)

I did something similar with a 4U2SEE sign. It had ethernet built-in and I used the ADP (Advanced Display Protocol) to update the text. I have a PHP script that runs on a Ubuntu box that polls our web server and simply opens a socket to the sign to update it. I really like this arduino idea, because the non ethernet signs are a lot cheaper...
