SABAH WEDDING - HEMADY & RABICA

This is a typical dusun wedding party soon after the matrimonial event at the local church. Couple now proceeding to their house; crossing river in a 4 wheel vehicle. Upon arrival at the brides home; all family friends and members are gathered to welcome the newly married couple and traditional gongs and music will be played. Traditional drinks (Tapai) and food are aplenty for guest's needs. Important events are the Wedding Cake cutting / Dancing and Singing. Safe environment throughout the event will be in the hands of the Village head committee and the safety committee members assigned to make sure no untoward incident happen. This party is in accordance with the individual village customs. At the end of party; usually the next day the cleaning of the whole premises and dismantling of tents/camps will be carried out with help of village members.
