The Gacktaculus - Tonsil of Cheese

Video pretty much speaks for itself... but the full story:

Had tonsillitis coupla weeks ago, didn't fully flush it out - it festered behind the scenes and came back with a vengeance a couple of days ago. After applying lashing of penicillin, the right tonsil has returned pretty much to normal, with minimal inflammation and gack. The left side is... is possessed by the inflammation and gack demon.

My money's on Peritonsillar Abscess, which mean needle poking and probably scalple thrusting to let the pus and goop out... huzzah!

my right side tonsil is inflamed. But my doctors say they never seen wat i have so they had to take some of my blood. I'm so scared

@ShaneReneeJones Aah I wouldn't worry too much, probably a Tonsillar Abcess, aka Quinsy. My GP didn't really know what was growing in my face either, but it's chilled out now. Just get some antibiotics down you and you'll be grand.

Oh wow. That is one nasty nasty tonsil full of tonsil stones!!! Wish some had squeezed out... did you get it removed?

@megyerdon Haha, going to the doctor tomorrow to see what they think. I've never had these mysterious tonsil stones (Tonsiloliths?) - mine have always filled with liquid pus. If it is what I think it is, when they slice it a river of pus and blood will ooze out *gags*.

Not gonna be fun!

@WhiteKnight2k11 Lucky guy, seems that you never had a bad fulminant abscess..

I had, years ago, an 'instant abscess' due to a faulty cavity filling.

Went to bed with no more than a discomfort in lower left maxilla, woke up in middle of the night from pain, at noon the abscess looked like I had half an orange behind my left cheek and in the evening, when my girlfriend drove me to the hospital, my nose actually was pulled toward left side..

All in less than one day....
