Original vs Remake: Dawn of the Dead

After the night comes the dawn. In 1978 George A. Romero brought us the sequel to his Night of the Living Dead, the second film in his legendary Living Dead trilogy. And in 2004 the dead walked the Earth once again in director Zack Snyder's remake of the film. Showing us that after all these years, Hell still has no room left for the dead to wander. Or run.

'Original vs Remake' shows the differences and resemblances between the old and the new. And tonight's film is Dawn of the Dead. It's Snyder vs. Romero, Foree vs. Rhames. Dawn vs. Dawn.

The remake of Dawn of the dead was good with it's improvement of special effects, cracking opening and being more of a horror film.

The only thing it lacked as to what made the original Dawn of the dead an amazing movie to begin with was it was about when a zombie crisis happens, money doesn't matter anymore. You could take advantage of that crisis and just loot all the goods that are in shopping malls etc but in time you would get bored of that utopia and feel like a prisoner.

The original is one of my all time favorites, and is IMO far superior to the remake. Running, ninja zombies are black heresy. However, I still enjoyed the remake for what it was...

the remake was really really bad as Max Brooks said how can zombies run when they are falling to peices from rotting because they are still dead so they would still be rotting plus when they are outside the mall they are slowing stubbling along it sucks plus you never reall see alot of close up shots of the zombies faces original all the way in my eyes nice vid to mate

ehh, i dont like this new one, they put to much emotion on the zombies face, i like how stiff and lifeless the old ones were, it really looked like what i would think a dead body brought back would look like, stiff lifeless no emotion nor expression on the face....these new track and feild zombies suck
