Drinking and driving kills more people each year than smoking marijuana. Cigerettes are the number one cause of lung cancer. Yet these two "drugs" are completely legal. It's sickening how the government continues to pander to the above drugs but try to keep a low risk drug like marijuana out of the hands terminally ill people. Disgusting.

I agree. I'll tell you TomCat ... in doing this story? It very much "put a face" on this issue for me. The people in question are in so much pain, they have such enormous amounts of nausea that they can barely eat ... it seems absurd that the government is going to such lengths to refuse them this tiny bit of relief. Let's put it this way. After my conversations with people, they are defintely not in it to get "high." Thanks for your comments -- and thanks for checking back in :-)

if anything alcohol should be illigal because i pesonaly find it more dangerous that weed CUZ i got reel drunk one time and people told me i was throwing up and picking fights the next day i remember waking up in a hospital with a broken arm cuz i fell and i dont remember a single second on the other hand weed is safe cuz if i get really fucked up on weed i remember every thing and im more conscience of what im doing and ive never had a problem only on alcohol do i get hurt

Yes I think many people have attempted to kill themselves with cannabis and failed.

But if you just kept refining cannabutter until you've reached the purest point you could possibly get, then took as much of that cannabutter as you could get and made as many EXTREMELY condensed edibles as you could.

Then ate as many as you could you would die.

actually according to the LD50 rating you would need to consume about 1500 pounds of marijuana within 20 minutes for it to be lethal. the Ld50 is only estimated because scientist have never been successful in trying to give a lethal dose to lab animals. no rat has ever died nor human.

It is possible to kill yourself with weed.

Even though it would be extremely hard.

It would have to include some very very potent hash edibles.

Then you would have to smoke as much hash oil as you could before blacking out.
