CONTEMPORARY DANCE CONCERT Program A
A showcase of original choreography by the undergraduate dance majors presenting an evening of diverse dance styles and creative visions.
The Martha B. Knoebel Dance Theater
February 11th-13th, 2010.

Welcome to the first of this years Contemporary Dance Concerts,
featuring original premiere choreography by the undergraduate dance majors of the CSULB Department of Dance. A panel of adjudicators including full-time dance faculty and our department design staff chose this program, which
highlights the diversity of thought and expression amongst our student body. Special recognition goes to Kate Andrews for having her dance Greener Pastures chosen to represent our Department at the Southwest Regional Conference of the American College Dance Festival Association later this March. I would also like to thank all of the student lighting designers who have added to this program through their innovative and original lighting designs, and
Andrew N. Milhan for mentoring these student designers.

I hope that you will join us for the second program of our Contemporary
Dance Concert series April 29-May 1, featuring nine additional premiere dance pieces. Now sit back, and enjoy the show!
