5207me5207 Ladero Ranch is pretty safe at this point. In Rancho Santa Margarita, especially here near the foothills, we are in more danger. We back up to O'Neill Park and we were on alert to evacuate yesterday. I pray that the winds behave tonight. The containment was never at 70%. It went from 30% and up to 50%, where it is now, when the air drops started, according to the OCFA.

Actually, I didn't see it, but my neighbor who was driving me to school drove by him and saw him do it. Plus I have bad eye vision so I wouldn't be much of a help.

I can't breathe at all here.

OMG! Is Ladera Ranch safee? My friend lives in Ladera Ranch! I switch between Rancho Santa Margirita and Beverly Hills.

Oct 23 (12:35 Los Angeles time):
I'd say scratch that 70% containment figure. Winds have picked up and the fire seems to be flaring. Skies are murkey brown and grey.
To think, I saw a bastard smoking in his car this morning and littered it on the ground.

With what you say you saw, a responsible person would have at very least gotten his license number. Did you?

You guys have a great view of the fire from up there. We've been showered with ash and soot out here!

djrun: Elevation didn't mean much. No one could hardly breathe out in this particular area today. Wind shift brought soot and ash towards us. Local pharmacy had a run on 'masks.' Home Depot "mask filter dept" was really busy today.
