Why are you guys acting as though this kind of behavior is only something young gay guys participate in? Have you been to spring break with a bunch of college-aged frat boys and girl? They are just as high, drunk, promiscuous and crazy. People passing out and vomiting and doing things they wish they hadn't and sometimes even against their will.

This is not about being gay, it's about living a certain kind of way that a LOT of young men participate in (gay or straight) and women too.

@destroycreate but the amount of self-destruction and irresponsible drug abuse was enough to push me away. I've dabbled and experimented, but I don't get why so many gay mean (a lot of people in my life) feel the need to push their bodies to the absolute brink...it's not worth it. Men who attend these parties often are on a downward spiral, or don't give a shit about treating their bodies with respect...and I'd prefer to be around people who value other things in life than the gym and scoring T.

I'm 24, and have been going out since I was 16 (grew up partly in Europe). Not all gay life is centered around circuit parties, however it is a large element of being gay. The great thing is that you don't need to participate in it if you don't want to. I think it's ridiculously trashy to be honest. I went to the White Party in Palm Springs last March and yes, there is something appealing about being surrounded by thousands of ridiculously hot, muscled guys being naughty and hedonistic...but

I'm a gay 17 year old. I've never done drugs, gotten high, or gotten drunk. Nor do I plan to in the near future. I dont get why drugs are considered a part of gay culture...

@gayN3rd All my straight friends went out drunk & I was the only one in my room.They were not even 19 in Canada.My room-mate got drunk,he came back and puke all over the floor and on his bed. The housemaster caught him and only gave him major detentions for just 2 weeks.There was also my class mate, a jock, who had sex in a piano practice room. He was only grade 9 having sex with a grade 12 girl. Tell on him will get him only a suspension.U came to say u would hate gay for this? Discrimination!
