if I were there I would help people now; but even more importantly, help people for the future by not allowing military-dictator new reactionary capitalist state system, who still claim to be maoist but really beholden to banker-agents, to build substandard housing, steal land from farmers, build dams to flood over poor people towns, allow corrupt party officials to run factories and prison labour camps, or abuse citizens.

As a human being, what is your responsibility?
What will you be doing if you were a part of it? Please, take a moment of silence, and think things over. The time when you understand this simple meaning, it is also the time you realize the "truth" as stated in your name. Give those people the respects they deserve, and you shall gain yours.

it is not my responsibility to take care of people in China. It is the person's responsibility and the government's responsibility. Instead of wasting funds on Torch relays, persecuting Tibetans, and torturing Falung-Gong they could use those funds/troops to help people from earthquake, rebuild with better/safer buildings, etc. I think the earthquakes are a sign that the ruling party has lost the "mandate of heaven".

And FYI, 37% of the population of Wenchuan, the epicenter of this earthquake, is tibetan. We live together, we suffer together, and we fight together!!

If you really care about the people who are suffering from the horrible disaster so much, you should do something and give them your helping hand instead of pouring this hypocritical comment to China. The torch relay goes on because now it is not simply a symbol of Olympic spirit but also a symbol of bravery , persistence and willpower of chinese people! It is a lighthouse that can lead people out of the disaster. It will go into Sichuan province just as planned!

why is the torch run continuing after such a disaster? shouldn't funds/people be better used to help the victims? maybe China will pull they torture troops from Tibet and their prison camps to help out the poor people of China who are suffering from the earthquakes!
