Fabry--Pérot Interferometer The Movie CSUF

What we got is Natures Breathtaking Patterns of Interfering Light that is a must see!

The Physics of it:
My Lab Partners and I set up a Fabry--Pérot Interferometer using a 780nm Infrared Laser, Rubidium, 50/50 & 90/10 Beam Splitters and Mirrors. This creates an interference between laser beams that enter into a Fabry-Perot Cavity. At the end of the cavity we put in a special camera at the end to capture video of Amazingly Beautiful Diffraction Patterns on a TV based on the different changing modes of the bouncing Laser Beams. We adjusted the Laser's current, Mirrors and length of the cavity to create fast, slow, forwards and backwards patterns.

I then added music and some editing. Enjoy!

Why isn't this the top played video on youtube!??!?!?! Not only is Johnstone Handsome, and funny, and awesome, he's smart beyond comprehension! I mean, what the hell does Febry Perot mean in the first place? I have no clue, but Johnstone does, cuz he's smart as hell!!!!!!!!! This video should be top video in America, not Rebecca Black's "Friday". I mean, who cares if she sits in the front seat or the back seat? But Johnstone is smart and ..well, Johnstone!!!!!
