  • kelly will you make a video of all of your pistons and give a indepth discription of all of them? and wich is you faverit piston im considering the acorn and the red stag wich do you prefer?

  • Hi,

All my fire pistons are built with the same internal parts , so they all preform exactly the same. It's really just a matter of choice on what design and material you want, because they will all have the same reliable performance.

I do think I will make a video which explains my design in more depth though.

    Thanks for your interest......

    Kelly

  • your voice is so much fun to listen to

  • LOL!! I just worried that nobody could understand my thick hillbilly dialect.

  • Beautiful craftsmanship, no doubt there. But tell me, is there an advantage of using one of your tools over a flint fire starter? No lube, no fuss... I just don't get this whole fire piston deal.

  • A fire piston will light many natural materials that a flint won't. The lube can be almost anything including saliva. with a piston you can create a coal almost instantly and about every time! For me...a fire piston is hands down the ultimate survival fire starter. Thanks for your comment.

  • FANTASTIC!! \/

  • got mine a few days ago and it works exelent. great work. you must be getting rich off these things eh?

  • I had 3 fire pistons, now I have 4. Just bought your "Ultimate Acorn Model" - absolutely beautiful piston. Giving it as a gift to my son -- Thanks

  • Trust me you'll use it. I have 3 and they are not only fun, but you can make a fire easier then any fancy magnesium gadget on the market. Plus, most people have never seen one and will guarantee that it can't work, until they see it themselves. My 8 year old has using one down to a science ! !

  • In the immortal words of Optimus Prime: "eBay".

    Look for "Cocobolo Fire Piston".

  • hey, this is perfect for that void spot i have in my 'crap i'll never use' drawer ... where can i get one?
