Flamingos - I Only Have Eyes For You (Original Stereo Remastered)

"I Only Have Eyes For You" was composed by Harry Warren and Al Dubin in 1934 for the film "Dames" where it was introduced by Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler. The song has become a standard since recorded by many, but none as successfully as this by The Flamingos. Rolling Stone has awarded this recording a place in their "500 Greatest Songs Of All Time" and deservedly so. The song peaked at #11 on the charts for The Flamingos during the spring and summer of 1959.

Where did you get the original tracks, they had to be on at least 8 for the master and 8 to 24 tracks from the studio to the board to tape ! I would love to try a mix down on this, so do you have the original tape ? Oh Please, Oh Please, Oh Please !! lol

Moonlight streaming, late at night, just the kids standing outside the candy store, guys with their doo-rags wrapped around slick hair, just the front of the pompadour showing, pointy shoes from florsheim, hustler pants, (very wide legged and cuffed), banlon knits. girls-tight capri pants with those wide belts at the waist. white cotton shirt and ballet shoes or saddle shoes with white bobby socks. And all listening to 5 fly guys doo-wopping, voices wafting clear to the heavens WOW! memories!
