Aeroponics offers a number of benefits for the home grower.

Days after shooting this video the humidifier/nebulizer failed. It was a 35$ investment but we'll try again.

Water cress grows very quickly.
Arugula less so.
Basil very slowly.

A few problems
-humidifier breaks
-misters require high pressure water
-lack of light

  • Is it possible to make humidifier using printing part from jet printer?

  • I once built a cloner out of one of these once. I found the trick is to put them on a cycle stat timer. They last "sooo" much longer if they aren't on all the time. Plus you can quite easily see in 10 seconds they fully fill up a tub with vapour, why bother having it on if it's already done it's job.

    Great vid anyhow!

  • Use medium clay balls it'll help I think

  • These foggers work much better if they are a set distance below the surface. This can be done by placing the fogger on a float with a slot cut out for the disk. Alowing of course for the water to easily enter over the fogger. This way the top of the fogger will remain the same distance below the level of the water. By doing this it won't get as much build up on the fogger. You also need to clean the fogger of deposits on the vibrating dis, this is why the cheap ones stop working so replace disk.

  • substitute cotton for paper towel especially viva or brawny

  • You have the fogger to deep in the water, the screen should be above the water level.

  • Youre gonna get alot of fungus with that i think. Unless its really cold.

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooool

    فكرة جازت لي

  • Which is better for roots? fog or mist?

  • @pleabargain your reply makes no sense. . . .your USING electricity right now, so thats not a problem, and thats all you need for aeroponics is a sub pump , . . . . Water pressure from city lines?, you dont hook them up to "lines", and your not even using nutrients in this set up, water doesnt grow things, your plants are growing off the nutrients in there seed leaves, what were you thinking?
