Hoax or history? On November 8, 1898, a Swedish immigrant farmer, Olof Ohman, and his ten-year-old son say they found a Scandinavian runestone, dated 1362, wedged in the roots of a tree in rural Minnesota.

  • The runestone is not fake.

  • Groan, stick to your damn point. Do you know anything about translating? Geats, Goths, Swedes... it's simply a translation issue. Christ, the point is the stone indicates that the eight people were from freaking Gotland. Gotland is where the particular rune form on the damn stone can be found. The point is that everything about the inscription that was deemed as proof of it being a fraud is actually proof of it being legitimate. Step away from your stupid ego and embrace reality.

  • The guy that tested the Runestone was also the guy that was called in to study the concrete of the Pentagon after 9/11... Wonder what story he got from the examination of the concrete there was it a plane or what??

  • it is not a hoax, it is real. Scott is right.

  • A fun hoax that gives people purpose in life.

  • if you read and watch hitler and ww1 and ww2 stuff you will see that they mention a tombstone similar too....believe it was the occult of hitler dvd series....this state is so fake with mimicing events in historey and religion-a game they play to cover up stuff -and you thought enron and madoff was bad...hint this state made lots of money and had a good old time since 911....not to mention allina, mayo, and fairview healthcare growing with fantasies to spread across the USA...hint hint

  • @OttovonEarth Maybe Olaf was a real cosmic cowboy come to earth to make his mark with this massive erection. But I still believe it was some Viking dude 700 years ago ;)

  • @quarkwrok Hard to say, I'm prone to believe he wasn't kind of a BrokeBACK Mountain gay boy though his roots were in Sweden and furthermore he was able to dig big stones off the ground and lived in Kensington, MN.

It's a pity he didn't live in southern Nevada and especially in the region which is now known as Area 51 - there wouldn't be any lack of reliable material... Instead of the "Du Gamla, Du Fria" and "Star Spangled Banner" his song would has been a Michael Murphey song "Cosmic Cowboy."

  • @OttovonEarth The Koreans have a good solution, no central locking. +_+

So was Olaf a runestone cowboy?

  • @quarkwrok There's no doubt with regarding the furrow thing as 00:11 proves.

On the other hand.. the stone might be an immobilizer of an ancient Volvo, at the time they were as Fred Flintstone's one and the device has simply put on the driver's seat, at least kids weren't able to steel the car. If so, this also proves that the Swedes brought the car industry to the continent - no wonder why the Detroit conspiracy tries to prove the Kensington rune-stone immobilizer as if it were a fake.

  • @OttovonEarth I heard it a bit different. Öhman was a bit of a munster when he was ploughing his wife's furrow. He just kept on göring. 0_0

There are all sorts of possible links between Kensington MN, Newport RI, Vinland, Greenland, Götland, Norway, Orkney, Scotland, Bristol, Galway, St. Brendan, Columbus, Zeno, Knights of St. John, Templars, Bornholm, Rosslyn, Peasents revolt. If only a fraction was real...

  • @quarkwrok You're probably right, I didn't pay attention to the compact size of this Kensington MicroSD memory card. Yeah, it's really amazing - farmer Öhman could watch porn while sharing his agricultural knowledge to his wife who was plowing the field, I guess he needed ca. 10-12 bulls only to haul his fattop (previous name for laptops).
