It was a delight to see a Vietnam War era F-4 Phantom flying the skies over Andrews AFB's Joint Services Open House Airshow! The only downside was that this happened to be an F-4 marked to be a remotely piloted target drone! I cannot stand to see such vintage aircraft destroyed in such a manner. They should be put out to the Boneyard in Arizona to either go into a museum or be rehabbed to fly at airshows such as this. If you believe as I do please write your Congressman and the Pentagon to keep the F-4 and other such famous warbirds as the F-86 Sabrejet from being blown to bits. That's what the family of Ryan Firebee drones was created for!

  • Hey FludBlub. Yeah! Almost 6,000 were built but they're going fast. About that same number of B-29s were built too and now I think there's only 3 left in flying condition. You might just be right if we get into it with Iran but I don't think we've got to be concerned about their F-14s because the boyz from Grumman really did a great job in sabotaging them before they all left the country ! hehehehe!

  • there are plenty already in museums and air shows, thousands of F4s were built over the course of its 40 year service life. but dont worry, we might just see them in action again in case of a war against iran together with the F14 tomcat
