The fact is the Hummer H2 was donated to LAPD through charity. The Hummer H2 is value about $50,000. The Ford Corwn Victoria fully equip is about $150,000 each and the LAPD has about 500 crown vic's. You tell me which cost more?

Why do people still think Hummer's are such a big deal? The H2 and H3 are just a Chevy chassis with a Chevy Vortec engine. Nothing special there - unless the Hummer name somehow gives you a little boner. Then I guess that makes it a big deal . . . to YOU.

Of course, the Hummer name carries a big price tag, but the big price and reputation is propagated by *name* only.

Although the military versions are in fact the REAL-DEAL, the civilian version is NOT a big deal (more like a simple truck).
