This was a hike through a part of Desolation Wildernes on the Sierra Nevada Lake Tahoe California. It was end of June, however there was lot of snow yet. beautiful hike passing by Glen Alpine, Susie Lake, Heather Lake, Lake Aloha right on the base of Pyramid Peak, and more!

Myself and a couple of friends backpacked Desolation for more than 40 years. 1960 thru 2000. I've been to the top of Tallac 4 times. Explored countless lakes, many of them more than once. Been snowed on, rained on, and pissed on. I thought it was one of the most majestic places on earth. My legs won't carry me to my unforgetable Desolation any longer. I truly miss that!!
